Here I sit in Sydney in the middle of the afternoon, on a leather chair in my apartment sipping coffee...blogging...and nursing my Wii-weary muscles. I can hear the ocean (or at least a tributary) through my open sliding glass door. And they pay me for this. Crazy times.
We arrived Monday (what happened to Sunday?) after a 14 hour flight from San Francisco. I allowed one day for the jet lag to subside before jumping behind the wheel on the right side of the car, and driving on the "wrong" side of the street. It was a little scary (mostly for the passengers and other motorists) but I'm pleased to say that no American's or Australians were harmed in the process.

I was holding my breath about the driving thing. I spent all morning at the news stand scanning for "American turns 17 Australians and 6 wombats into roadkill" in all the headlines.
i'm happy you guys had a safe trip.
